Italy’s Codecasa has issued an update on the first model of the Gentleman’s Yacht 24, which is under construction at the builder’s Viareggio shipyard.
The new images show that the aluminium hull, which has been built starting with the deck upside down, has been turned successfully to proceed with the fitting-out work. The yard confirms that the yacht is on schedule to be delivered to its owner in Asia during summer 2023.
The purchase of the yacht was closed by Carmen Lau Stratton of Camper & Nicholsons.
Codecasa says the 24-metre yacht pays tribute to a golden age of the yachting of the 50s and 60s, using details such as mahogany inserts, while incorporating the latest technological innovations for high performance.
The project was conceived by the designer Luca Dini of Luca Dini Design and Architecture and by the naval architect Francesco Rogantin of Names Studio, in collaboration with Kurt Lehmann of Yacht Moments.
The designers say they took inspiration from the yachts of their childhood to create a concept designed to appeal to owners looking for an “elegant and manoeuvrable boat that does not go unnoticed.”
