Ferretti Group has added the 43wallytender to its range of luxury tenders from Wally Yachts. The 13-metre model features a new “centre cockpit” design, which is designed to offer protection from the elements at high speed, without sacrificing the easy access of a walkaround.
Drawing on design features from the 47wallypower model, the 43wallytender is a fast runabout that can carry up to 12 people at speeds over 40 knots.
Developed by Wally and Ferretti Group’s technical engineering department, the 43wallytender is constructed in advanced composite with carbon fibre at Wally’s new facilities in Forlì, Italy. The first unit, which is currently in production and due for completion in August 2020, comes in a colour dubbed “Gator Green”, in honour of the company’s first sailing yacht, Wallygator.
“I am very proud of what we have achieved with the 43wallytender, which surely deserves its place cruising alongside our wider family of Wally yachts and tenders,” says Luca Bassani, chief designer and founder of the Monegasque brand.
The 43wallytender can adapt its deck in a variety of configurations, with the optional addition of a fold-out dining table, seating and raised sunbed converting the tender into a family day boat. Further storage in an optional aft sunbed creates the ultimate platform for watersports activities, with space to stow SeaBobs, wakeboards, scuba diving tanks and other small water toys.
Twin Volvo Penta diesel 380hp stern drive engines with joystick control offer a shallow draft for exploration in remote areas. These can be upgraded to twin 440hp engines for predicted top speeds of over 40 knots.
The first hull of the 43wallytender will be unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2020, scheduled to run from September 8-13.
