Olympic 2024 will be an exceptionally remarkable event, all thanks to the historic and dazzling venue for the Games, the City of Lights, Paris.

After exactly a century, the Olympic Games are set to return to Paris, France on July 26th, 2024. Last hosted in Paris in 1924, the Games are returning in the most extraordinary manner. A testament to sportsmanship and unity, the Olympic Games, for the first time, will not be limited to a stadium but instead, take place in the very heart of the city – on the river Seine.

The entire city will be turned into a vast Olympic stadium with the Seine representing the track and the quays the spectators’ stands. The Games and the artistic performances will take place all around you: on the bridges, around the monuments and above the river.

Meanwhile, Paris is all around these happenings – in historic locations such as the Pont Louis, Théâtre du Châtelet, Pont Neuf, Monnaie de Paris, Musée du Louvreand most importantly on and around the river Seine.

The aim behind hosting the games around the river is to make the Parisians connect to the river – the pride and joy of the city. When the riverbanks were opened to pedestrians in 2016, it gave Parisians and locals back their beautiful rivers. They were then able to enjoy walking along or engaging in sports along the banks without worrying about traffic.
