The Thai Yachting Business Association is hosting a free networking evening at Royal Phuket Marina on Friday 6 May, from 5 pm onwards.
Grow Boating Phuket is a monthly get-together of people in the boating industry, boaters and people who are interested in getting into boating. It is held on the first Friday of the month and alternates between the Royal Phuket Marina and Phuket Boat Lagoon Marina.
The Grow Boating Networking Evening will take place at the marina’s Speakeasy Yacht Club and Restaurant. Guests need only drop off their business cards or register at the bar. There will be a light buffet provided, and drinks available at the bar.
In October, Asia-Pacific Boating reported that the Royal Phuket Marina has signed up for the Plastic-Free Marina Pledge by the Marina Industries Association (MIA), the first marina in Thailand to do so. Pledge signees affirm their commitment to reduce and ultimately eliminate single-use plastics in the marina by 2025.
The marina has already eliminated the use of plastic bottles in its facilities and offers free recycling stations on the property.
