Polish shipyard Sunreef has unveiled the 100 Sunreef Power Eco. The luxury catamaran, designed to be a ‘green’ motoryacht, combines superyacht comfort with cutting edge sustainable technology for long cruises, offering “ultra-silent propulsion, unrivalled energy efficiency and eco-responsible finishing materials.”

The 100 Sunreef Power Eco features efficient composite-integrated solar panels built into the yachts hulls, superstructure and bimini roof. The catamaran’s custom-engineered battery bank powers both the propulsion and all the amenities on board.

The luxury catamaran boasts a walkaround beach club providing plenty of space for watersports and access to the yacht’s gym and dive locker. The aft garage of the 100 Sunreef Power Eco welcomes two large personal watercraft along with a wide choice of water toys.

The yacht’s flybridge includes several dining and lounging options as well as a drinks bar, spa pool and oversized sunbeds.

Sunreef Yachts was founded by Francis Lapp in 2002 in Gdansk, Poland. Sunreef’s R&D Strategy Consultant Nicolas Lapp, son of Francis, heads up the eco side of the Sunreef business, which now includes the in-house production of solar photovoltaic cells.

The 80 Sunreef Power Eco was launched this winter, and Nicolas Lapp recently told Asia-Pacific Boating that a new yacht in the eco-series will continue to be launched every two months.

According to Lapp, almost all Sunreef’s current lineup can be had in an eco-version, which is a set of options that covers everything from renewable energy sources to building in flax-based fibreglass to kite sail options. Lapp says that Sunreef is working on a series of in-house built and patented systems for eco-friendly running.
