Washington State’s Westport Yachts is one of the few active large-yacht builders in the U.S. Founded in 1964, Westport has built its reputation on delivering composite motoryachts up to 172 feet, on time and on budget. The baby of the company’s fleet, the Westport 112, has seen 62 hulls splash since its inception. The 112 has recently undergone an update that includes tweaks to its interior and the addition of Seakeeper gyro stabilizers to improve comfort at anchor.

In this interview, Kenny Wooton of Yachts International chats with Westport President Daryl Wakefield about the 112, the effects of the Covid crisis on the business and the company’s plans moving forward.
